An Epiphany

Like the ebb and flow of the tides at sea, I heal with inconsistency that frustrates me beyond sanity. Love is a routine. A bad habit that takes all of my energy to break. It silently crept into my life, becoming a part of it before I realized it but too late. I search beyond the present for peace at last, yet see an endless horizon reflecting the indefinite future. I trust. I take a leap of faith and fall...back to where I started.

Revolt from mechanical existence seeps into my soul. Insecurity makes me want. Restlessness fuels my escape. Surrender. I forget the could’ve beens and might’ve beens. For spontaneity, not restraint, is the measure of true strength. I embrace the child within. I love and I live again. All I’ve got is all I have now.
